Marked 2 is a preview tool (not an editor) for Markdown, MultiMarkdown, and other text markup languages. It updates the preview in real-time whenever you save a document in your favorite text editor. It includes built-in document analysis tools and offers extremely high customizability.

Marked supports features such as document jump navigation, text data statistics, proofreading tools, and multi-format export. The software comes with nine preset preview styles (including GitHub style), and you can add unlimited custom styles.

For content creators, the software supports full MultiMarkdown parsing, recognizing MultiMarkdown-specific features such as tables, footnotes, and file references.

GitHub users will appreciate the built-in GitHub-flavored Markdown parser, which can recognize nested code blocks, preserve line breaks in the original text, and automatically generate hyperlinks.

Marked offers strong extensibility, supporting the invocation of custom parsing programs (Shell scripts) before the built-in parser runs, or directly replacing the built-in parser. It can handle standard Markdown text or call non-Markdown text processing tools.
