Lungo prevents your computer from going to sleep and also prevents the screen from dimming.
Lungo is useful in the following situations
- When giving presentations at work
- Watching YouTube videos in non-fullscreen mode
- Cooking while keeping a recipe open on your computer
- Reading long articles without needing to scroll
- Using the screen to view real-time statistics
- Monitoring the progress of long-running tasks
Lungo features include
- Right-click the menu bar icon to quickly activate
- Choose left-click activation in settings
- Choose to activate at startup in settings
- Allow the display to sleep in settings
- Set a default duration in settings, used when Lungo is activated by clicking the menu bar icon
- Customize keyboard shortcuts to activate/deactivate Lungo
- Automatically deactivate when the power adapter is disconnected (opt-in)
- Supports shortcuts
- Control Lungo from a script or Terminal
Important: If you close the lid, Lungo will not be able to prevent your computer from going to sleep. This is a Mac App Store limitation, and Lungo also cannot prevent scheduled sleep enabled in Battery system settings.
