Vivid lets users double the global brightness of MacBook Pro and Pro Display XDR!
The displays on the new MacBook Pro and Pro Display XDR can reach a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. But by default, this brightness level can only be reached when watching HDR video or using Metal apps—a limitation that has now been broken.
Using standard Apple APIs (application programming interfaces), Vivid lets users increase screen brightness to more than twice its original level.
In addition, Vivid can also double the brightness of Pro Display XDR on other devices.
