Wallspace is an application that transforms your desktop and lock screen into a unified, cinematic visual space, bringing the entire interface to life with dynamic wallpapers. It is ideal for users who want to make their Mac more dynamic without sacrificing system performance or battery life.
Performance First
Unlike many similar apps built on heavier web technologies, Wallspace is developed in native Swift and uses hardware-accelerated video playback. As a result, CPU usage stays below 2% when running in the background, and the app package size is only about 6 MB.
Its intelligent system automatically pauses animations when your Mac is running on battery or under heavy system load, helping to save power and reduce the risk of overheating.
Rich Personalization Features
Wallspace offers multiple ways to customize the visual experience of your Mac:
- Rich wallpaper library with AI search: Includes more than 1,000 curated 4K dynamic wallpapers. With AI search, simply describe the mood, scene, or style you want—such as “cityscape” or “minimalism”—to quickly find the right background.
- Use your own videos: You can set any MP4 file on your Mac as a wallpaper directly, without needing to convert formats in advance.
- Multi-display support: You can set a different dynamic wallpaper for each connected display, or have all displays sync to the same background.
- Lock screen support: Through integration with recent macOS versions, Wallspace can automatically extend your chosen dynamic wallpaper to the lock screen, providing a cohesive, unified visual from the moment you wake your Mac.
Wallspace is perfect for users who want to beautify their Mac with stunning dynamic wallpapers while valuing performance, simplicity, and privacy. It is lightweight, fast, and privacy-conscious, making your desktop truly come to life.
