Radiccio is an elegant native music player that brings local files, streaming services, and media servers together into a single interface, with a focus on mindful listening, privacy, and respect for your personal music collection.
You no longer need to switch between multiple apps. Radiccio lets you add multiple music sources and manage them centrally in one window — just like a file manager, except it manages audio content.
Key Features
Multiple Music Sources
- Local Files: Supports MP3, AAC, FLAC, Opus, AIFF, WAV, MP4, and more, including Spatial Audio.
- Apple Music: Access the music catalog, personal library, and radio content. An Apple Music subscription is required.
- Media Servers: Supports Plex, Jellyfin, Navidrome, and OpenSubsonic.
Librarian (Optional Feature)
- Scans your local music collection and creates a database alongside your music files.
- Browse music by artist, album, track, and playlist.
- Provides an “Overview” tab showing recently added and recently played content — no recommendation algorithms, only rule-based sorting.
Smart Playlist Management
- Pin favorite albums or artists to the top of the list.
- Mark favorite tracks and filter to play only those tracks.
- Automatically skip tracks you don’t want to hear, unless you actively choose to play them.
Journal: A Music Feelings Diary
- Instead of traditional star ratings, record your “liking level” and the emotional feelings music evokes.
- Add notes and custom emojis.
- All history is kept, so you can see how your feelings about a piece of music change over time.
Other Features
- AirPlay: Stream music to compatible devices with Spatial Audio support.
- Undoable Shuffle: You can undo the shuffle operation after shuffling the play order.
- Save the current playback queue as a playlist.
- Open audio files directly from Finder without adding a music source first.
- Interface Customization: Move the control panel, switch to a dark theme, and support the latest macOS versions.
